Two Dead, One Injured in Azusa Shooting

The shooting occurred near Charles H. Lee Elementary School and less than one mile from Azusa Pacific University.

Two men died and another was wounded in a shooting in Azusa, authorities said Wednesday.

The shooting occurred about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of East Sixth Street, according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which was assisting the Azusa Police Department in the investigation.

Firefighters responded to the scene and located three victims, two were pronounced dead and one was taken to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The ages of the victims were not disclosed.

The shooting occurred near Charles H. Lee Elementary School and less than one mile from Azusa Pacific University.

A detailed description of the shooter or shooters was not immediately available. Authorities have not disclosed a motive.
