Have you ever gone in for a job interview and found yourself with the jitters?

Imagine what it must be like for the thousands of veterans getting ready to transition from the military to civilian life -- many of whom have never had a job interview before.

NBC Universal has been putting a lot of effort into helping veterans get hired -- including holding job fairs across the country.

Two years of Hiring Our Heroes job fairs have resulted in more than 18,300 veterans and military spouses landing jobs with 1,000 companies.

This year's job fair in Los Angeles will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26 at The Proud Bird Restaurant located at 11022 Aviation Blvd. (map)

The company has also published a free e-book that focuses on one of the biggest challenges for those who've served: succeeding in the interview process.
