Deputies were searching for three people after one of them fatally shot a man in Commerce Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. in the 5100 block of Astor Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.
Investigators said three men walked up to the male victim as he stood in front of his home. One of the attackers pulled out a weapon and shot the man. The assailants then fled on foot, got into a vehicle and drove south on Astor Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The fatal shooting was under investigation.
