A man was shot and killed by sheriff’s deputies at a gas station in Norwalk Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the man struck a sheriff’s deputy with his car at the 7-Eleven at Alondra Boulevard and Studebaker Road just after 5 p.m.
Deputies opened fire and the man was struck. The man was later pronounced dead.
The deputy who was struck by the car was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to a statement from the agency.
The man’s identity was not immediately released.
