Facebook, which faced a lot of criticism for removing breastfeeding photos for violating its terms of service, has now changed its mind.
On its Help page, Facebook clearly points out its stance: "Does Facebook allow photos of mothers breastfeeding? Yes. We agree that breastfeeding is natural and beautiful and we're glad to know that it's important for mothers to share their experiences with others on Facebook."
The message was placed there about three weeks ago, according to the Verge, and Facebook confirmed its change in stance. Facebook also stated in its new policy that it would review photos flagged by users.
"Please note that the photos we review are almost exclusively brought to our attention by other Facebook members who complain about them being shared on Facebook," the company wrote.
