Several Wi-Fi hotspots will be available to the public during San Diego Comic-Con this year, Cox Communications announced Friday.
The cable company is teaming up with the city of San Diego to provide free, unlimited Wi-Fi to Comic-Con's about 130,000 guests through the pop-culture convention's run on Sunday.
When in a hotspot area -- either inside the San Diego Convention Center or in the surrounding Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy and East Village neighborhoods -- customers and non-customers can select the "FreeCoxWiFi" wireless network on their devices.
Users will need to provide their email addresses and current internet service provider to connect to the service.
