McDonalds Japan Offering Pumpkin Chocolate Covered French Fries

For those who just can’t get enough pumpkin-flavored treats in the fall, McDonald’s Japan is offering customers french fries covered with pumpkin and chocolate sauce. The new menu item debuted Wednesday and is named “Halloween Choco Potato.” McDonald’s Japan came up with the surprising combination of sweet-and-salty taste to mark its 45th anniversary in the country. The offering builds on the previous success of the “McChoco Potatoes,” chocolate-covered fries first released in January. As with many other countries around the world, Halloween in Japan is marked by having pumpkin-spiced beverages and food. Halloween Choco Potato will be available only in Japan, through October.
