Nick Cannon ‘Highly Doubts' He'll Ever Get Married Again

Waiting to see Nick Cannon walk down the aisle again? Don't hold your breath.

The actor and entrepreneur, who got suited for a dapper shoot with DuJour magazine, was very candid about the possibility (or lack thereof) of finding himself back in a marriage again. The 35-year-old "America's Got Talent" host was famously married to superstar Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2015, but admits that the chances of him tying the knot a second time are slim to none.

"I feel like marriage isn't for everyone," he told the mag. "A friend of mine put it the funniest way. He said, 'If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn't go skydiving."

Cannon continued, "There's like a 50/50 chance of a marriage working. If it didn't work out for you the first time, and you still survived it, you probably shouldn't do it again."

And when it comes to his personal thoughts on getting married again, Cannon hesitated, but ultimately said, "I highly doubt it."

"I never ever in my life want to have to--how do I say this the right way--not to say that I was bogged down [in my marriage], because I wasn't by any means, but I like being able to make my own decisions and come and go as I please."

And there's absolutely no bad blood between these exes. In fact, Cannon praised his famous ex:

During a recent stop at "Ellen," the "Chi-Raq" star told host Ellen DeGeneres that there's no girl in his life right now and he's remaining celibate for the time being.

"I'm not ready for all that," he explained when asked if he had a girlfriend.

DeGeneres assumed that he "must be dating a lot of girls," but he wouldn't label it as such. "I wouldn't say dating. I mean, I have friends and we hang out, but I'm not ready to do anything seriously, especially because I'm really trying to make sure I can establish being in my kids life and working," Cannon said. "I'm always so busy so if I'm not working they're my No. 1 priority."

"So, just booty calls is what you're saying?" DeGeneres teased. "No!" he said. "I'm being celibate I'm trying to work on myself. No sex right now."
