French judoka Emilie Andeol captured a gold medal after knocking off the world's top two female heavyweights in back-to-back matches. Her final bout against reigning the Olympic champion, Idalys Ortiz of Cuba, went into a golden score period, and after three minutes, Andeol held her down to win by ippon.
