Sen. Sasse Calls Astros ‘Cheaters,' Cornyn, Cruz Fire Back

During the third day of Senate hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., tried to use the Houston Astros as an example of what Supreme Court judges don’t do. “I think all baseball fans know that the Houston Astros cheat,” said Sasse. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, fired back: “Thank goodness the First Amendment protects that right, for him to express that erroneous opinion.”
