Another Special Olympics Athlete Reported Missing

Ouattara was last seen around 11 p.m. Monday at the Adventurer Hotel in Inglewood

A Special Olympics athlete last seen at an Inglewood hotel has gone missing, police said Tuesday.

Abidjan Ouattara, a 24-year-old athlete on the Ivory Coast team, was last seen Monday wearing a light blue zip-up athletic jacket, an orange T-shirt, white pants and sandals, according to the Inglewood Police Department.

Ouattara is the third Special Olympics athlete to be reported missing. A 44-year-old athlete was found hundreds of miles away in Northern California and a 15-year-old boy, also from the Ivory Coast, was found in Inglewood hours after disappearing from the from the Los Angeles International Airport.

Ouattara was last seen about 11 p.m. Monday at the Adventurer Hotel at 4200 West Century Blvd. in Inglewood.

He speaks only French, wears glasses, and his left arm is impaired at the hand, according to authorities.

Inglewood police described Ouattara as 5 foot 6 inches tall, with a medium build and dark complexion.

He was originally scheduled to fly out of LAX on an Air France flight at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police added that he does not have money or a cellphone.
