Evacuations Ordered Over Yosemite Wildfire

An out-of-control wildfire near Yosemite National Park led to 13,000 households and businesses receiving evacuation orders, The Associated Press reported. The fire was burning near a propane business with 30,000 gallon tanks on the site making firefighters wary of explosions. Authorities also declared a local state of emergency in Madera County late Monday. Four hotels in the community of Oakhurst about 16 miles from an entrance to Yosemite were evacuated and Tuesday classes have been canceled for most of the Yosemite Unified School District.
