2015 Chicago Marathon Finish Line: Dickson Chumba Wins Men's Race

WATCH: Kenya’s Dickson Chumba won the men’s race in the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and he already has plans to possibly return next year to win the race again.

Dickson Chumba of Kenya has won the men's race at the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

He finished the race with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, 25 seconds, unofficially.

"The race was good," he said.

Chumba was a relative unknown until he burst onto the scene in 2014 with a win and course record at the Tokyo Marathon.

He followed that performance with a third-place showing at the 2014 Chicago Marathon in a new personal best, 2:04:32. He did not beat that time Sunday.

Chumba said he hopes to come back next year to run a faster time.

"Maybe next year to win," he said. "I need to run maybe a faster time."

Fellow Kenyans Sammy Kitwara and Sammy Ndungu finished in second and third places, respectively.
