3 People Hospitalized After Soccer Field Brawl

Three soccer players were stabbed during a morning soccer match. Christine Kim reports for the NBC4 News at 11 on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.

Three people were transported to local hospitals after a brawl involving 20 to 30 people broke out on a soccer field at El Camino High School in Whittier, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The fight broke out during an adult male soccer match, with the three victims being stabbed and suffering non-life threatening injuries, according Sgt. Brian Neel of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Norwalk station.

Snapchat video captured the moment dozens of players stormed the soccer field as a scuffle between two players escalated.

"Fifteen seconds and it was over. That's how fast it was," coach Jorge de la Rosa said.

The suspect, an adult male Hispanic, fled the scene and is still at-large, Neel said.

NBC4's Christine Kim contributed to this report.
