An elderly man and his 6-year-old granddaughter were injured Friday night after a pizza delivery driver struck and injured the two, leaving the grandfather in critical condition, police said.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. near Anaheim Street and Bay View Avenue in Wilmington, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The 88-year-old grandfather was transported to a hospital in critical condition and the girl was in stable condition, police said.
Police said the driver remained at the scene.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.
