A conversation with USC President C.L. Max Nikias–one of the most intriguing university chiefs around. Dr. Nikias rose from the ranks as a professor, dean, provost and now 11th president of the University of Southern California. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, a number of patents that the US Dept of Defense uses and still holds seminars in the Greek classics. He’s an innovator, a visionary and a money maker.
