Getting elected was the easy part. Now for the job at hand. Karen Bass readies for her lightening quick transition as the 43rd mayor of Los Angeles taking the oath of office December 12th. She inherits a city hall that is in crisis with councilmembers under federal indictment and two of three members refusing to resign after they were heard using homophobic and racist language in a leaked audio tape.
