NewsConference: Crime Is Up, LAPD Seeks More Money

It wasn’t that long ago that the LA City Council and Mayor Eric Garcetti said it was time to cut the police budget by $150 million, as some council members condemned the practices of the LAPD as racist. But then crime started climbing. Now the police commission is seeking a 12% increase in the police budget, and wants to hire more officers. NBC4’s Conan Nolan talks with president of the Los Angeles Police Commission William Briggs.
