A Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter pilot lands on a jetty for a rescue operation after a boat crash off Marina Del Rey Tuesday Sept. 16, 2014.
A small power boat crashed into the jetty in Marina Del Rey at the Pacific Tuesday morning, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Inspector Scott Miller said.
Aerial video showed one person being treated by medical personnel on the jetty before being transported to a local hospital by helicopter. The Los Angeles County Fire Department pilot landed the helicopter on the rock jetty to expedite the transport.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was on board the boat.
The crash was reported at 10:56 a.m.
