More than 26,000 customers are without power Monday morning in Los Angeles County.
Authorities are attempting to determine what caused the widespread outages, primarily in the Hawthorne and Gardena areas. Earlier Monday morning, about 78,000 customers were without power.
Outages also were reported Sunday night in Malibu. About 2,100 customers were without power after equipment problems.
Most of the outages in Malibu were restored by Monday morning.
