A burglary suspect led Anaheim police on a chase that ended when the stolen car the suspect was driving crashed into a strip mall and caught fire.

Police were called at 3:28 p.m. regarding a residential burglary in the 500 block of South Melrose. During that break-in a Mercedes Benz E350 was stolen, but police in a helicopter picked up the trail of the heisted vehicle about an hour later, Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

The driver refused to pull over and the pursuit ended at 188 W. Lincoln Avenue, when the car crashed and landed on its side just outside the doors of a business.
