Mahony: Priest Abuse Not Reported in Other Countries

Speaking in Rome, Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles says other priests thanked him for shining a light on alleged priest abuse: “I had so many cardinals — dozens — come up to me later and thank me for bringing all of this up, because they said, ‘Ya know, it’s in the papers in your country and all kinds of other problems with priests. It’s not in our papers, but it’s in our reality, too.'”
