Santa Monica Resident Helps Unravel Ammunition Ring Scheme

Proposed legislation to regulate ammunition sales in California was approved for the first time Tuesday. The vote comes days after authorities discovered a stockpile of ammunition bought with stolen credit cards. A Santa Monica resident helped uncover the scheme when she realized her credit card statement showed the purchase of thousands of dollars of ammo.
