Four people were injured after a school bus somehow caught fire near the Antelope Valley off the 14 Freeway Tuesday evening.
A school bus fire was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m. south of Red Rover Mine Road in Acton, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Video posted to Twitter showed the bus parked on the side of the 14 Freeway and engulfed in flames.
One of the students aboard, Paola Rios, says there were at least 50 students on the bus.
"There was a lot of smoke in the back of the bus. The girls started to freak out … we saw the bus catch on fire," Rios said.
Kaylie Lopez, who was asleep when the incident began, was woken up by the smell of the smoke.

"Everyone was like, freaking out and they were like, 'let's get off the bus,'" Lopez said.
The four students who sustained injuries suffered from smoke inhalation, but no critical injuries were reported.
The bus was returning to Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita following a volleyball game in Lancaster.
Authorities have not determined the cause of the fire.
