The Department of Defense on Monday announced the death of a 19-year-old soldier from Los Angeles.
Army Pfc. Daniela Rojas died in Homburg, Germany on Saturday while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom, the DOD said. She died of a non-combat-related illness, according to the DOD.
Rojas was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson in Colorado, the DOD said.
No further information was released.
