Bethany Hamilton Hangs Ten Down Under

Five years ago, Bethany Hamilton, 18, lost her left arm in a shark attack off the coast of Hawaii. On Wednesday, she reached her first major final, competing in the Billabong World Junior Championships in Australia. She had a chance to win but couldn’t capitalize on the final wave and finished a close second. Either way, Bethany is continues to be an incredible story of inspiration and perseverance.
