The injured left ankle that’s kept Carl Crawford on the disabled list must be getting better.
The left fielder is apparently almost ready to test it on the field, according to Dodger manager Don Mattingly.

Crawford is currently in Arizona being treated and Mattingly said he’s been getting positive reports about Crawford's progress.
"He's been doing some on-field activities, swinging the bat and running, so he's doing well," he said.
Crawford got an MRI last month after the club said he had a setback in his rehab. Good news for everyone is that the results came back negative.

He hasn’t played in a game since May 27, when he injured the ankle chasing down a ball in the left-field corner against the Reds.
Crawford is hitting .267 with four home runs and 18 RBIs on the season but leading up to the injury he played so well that he basically put Matt Kemp on the bench.
Kemp has essentially locked up the left field spot in Crawford’s absence, so it’s unclear where he’ll fit in once he returns.
But, I’m sure, it’s a problem the Dodgers will gladly deal with.
