Lonzo Ball nearly set a LA Lakers rookie record for assists when he tabbed 13 helpers against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night, tying the 19-year-old with Earvin “Magic” Johnson and only placing him behind Norm Nixon’s rookie record of 14 assists.
