Former Dodgers outfielder and current broadcaster Rick Monday joined the Marine Corps Reserves just weeks after becoming the first player ever selected in the MLB draft. At one point, Monday was told he was just hours away from deploying to active combat in Vietnam. Monday shares the story with Fred Roggin.
