A woman who was struck by a vehicle in Huntington Park died from her injuries, a police lieutenant said Saturday.
The crash remained under investigation, the "circumstances were highly suspicious," Huntington Park Police Lt. Al Martinez said. He declined to elaborate about what was suspicious about the collision, citing the pending investigation.
Paramedics took the woman to an area hospital, where she died, Martinez said. Her name was withheld pending positive identification and notification of relatives.
The crash occurred sometime after 10 p.m. Friday in the area of Pacific Boulevard and Belgrave Avenue, he said.
"Detectives are still actively working this case," Martinez said.
Huntington Park police asked anyone who witnessed the injury to call them at 323-584-6254.
