Two people were seriously injured in a crash that came at the end of a chase Friday in Paramount.

The crash was reported at 9:23 p.m. at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Somerset Boulevard, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.

Deputies were chasing a reckless driver when the suspect vehicle collided into another car at that intersection, authorities said, resulting in the arrest of two people.

Two people were taken to trauma centers from the scene, Pittman said.
