Marijuana Dispensary Owner Shoots Robbers Wearing Protective Vests

Two men were in critical condition after they were shot during an attempted robbery at a marijuana dispensary Tuesday night in Walnut Park, authorities said.

The shooting was reported around 10:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Florence Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The attempted robbers were shot by the shop owner after he saw them on a surveillance monitor breaking through the door, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies said the would-be robbers were wearing bulletproof vests.

The two men were transported to a hospital where they were in critical condition but stable condition, deputies said.

The attempted robbery and shooting was under investigation.
