A 26-year-old Costa Mesa volleyball coach was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sending lewd videos of himself via Tinder to an underage girl, and authorities believed there may be more potential victims.
"It was an online relationship where especially he was sending lewd sexually explicit videos taking of himself and sending them to a minor," Mark Stichter of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
Troy Linehan Crutchfield, a man who worked or volunteered as a volleyball coach for a slew of Southern California schools in the past and currently offering private volleyball lessons, was taken into custody at his home.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators said they received information about a girl having "inappropriate conversations" with a man through the online dating app at the beginning of March.
They narrowed down the investigation and named Crutchfield as a suspect.
The Orange County Child Exploitation task force served a search warrant at Crutchfield’s Costa Mesa home Wednesday and took him to jail. All charges were related to Internet communication, and Crutchfield was being held on $100,000 bail.
Crutchfield had worked as a volleyball coach at California State University, Long Beach, SCA Club Volleyball in Huntington Beach, Huntington Beach High School, and Long Beach City College.

He currently works as a statistical coordinator with the men's volleyball team at Long Beach State, according to its site.
While investigators say the underage girl was not coached by Crutchfield, they are concerned that his position as a coach gives him access to many other young girls and boys.
