Beck, Villaraigosa Endorse Sales Tax Hike, Citing Public Safety

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and police Chief Charlie Beck endorsed a proposed sales tax increase for the city that will appear on the March ballot. The City Administrative Office says that without the sales tax increase, some 500 officers could be cut from the LAPD.
