Water Service Restored After Beverly Grove Water Main Break Floods Streets

Water service was restored for about 60 customers after a ruptured pipe gushed for about half an hour and forced the Depart of Water and Power to shut off water to the area.

The pipe ruptured early Saturday morning and affected approximately 60 customers.

Approximately 60 customers who had their water shut off after a pipe ruptured had their service restored Saturday afternoon.

A broken water main in the Beverly Grove area sent water gushing through the streets early Saturday morning. The 6-inch cast iron pipe broke in the 8200 block of Clinton Street at about 2:30 a.m., officials said.

Crews from The Department of Water and Power turned off the water supply to the area at about 3 a.m. Service was restored to the area at about 1:45 p.m.
