Woman Killed, 2 Injured in Santa Ana Shooting

A woman was killed and two men were injured in a shooting in Santa Ana late Wednesday night, police said.

The shooting was reported around 11:35 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lacy Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to a hospital where the female victim died of her injuries, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

The male victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The female victim was identified as 25-year-old Vanessa Elizabeth Rodriguez. Police said Rodriguez lived in the garage where the shooting took place and one of the injured men might have previously resided in the garage.

Police said the shooting was gang related.

It was unclear if Rodriguez was the intended target or the two men who were shot.
