Six-year-old Carthage, Missourian Lila Cade teaches her classmates the ins and outs of beekeeping, including how to get honey from the hive. She also tells them about stinging, and how bees get the short end of the stick on that deal, saying, “[It] does something worse to them than it does to you because when they sting you, they die. Their butts fall off and they die.”
