Bird Strike Aborts Flight Bound for Los Angeles

A passenger, who caught the scene the video, describes the frightening moments aboard a Los Angeles-bound jet that struck one or more birds on takeoff. The pilot quickly turned the plane around and landed safely at New York’s JFK Airport. Gordon Tokumatsu reports from LAX for the NBC4 News at 6 p.m. on April 19, 2012.
