Body Found on Mt. Baldy Suspected of Being Missing Hiker

The body found on Mount Baldy Wednesday is suspected of being the hiker who went missing last Saturday. It appears the hiker fell from the narrow ridge known as Devil’s Backbone to the bottom of a steep slope more than a thousand feet below. Dangerous conditions prevented responders from recovering the body Wednesday. They will try again Thursday morning.
