CA Cracks Down on Illegal Garages

A new law in Long Beach, created after three sisters died in a 2007 fire inside an illegally converted garage, will soon go statewide. Governor Jerry Brown signed a proclamation, urging cities throughout the state to crackdown on illegal garage conversions.
