The Challenge Hero of the Night: Firefighter Cameron Fuentes and Fire Explorers William Rodriguez and Henry Adams

In addition to his weekly duties, Los Angeles County Firefighter Cameron Fuentes serves as Advisor for Fire Explorer Post 13, teaching young prospective firefighters the basics. Two of his Explorers put their training into action in May when they witnessed a serious car accident in which a vehicle spun out of control and off the road, hitting a nearby structure. Fire Explorers William Rodriguez and Henry Adams quickly pulled over, jumped from their cars and extracted two victims from the vehicle before the local Fire Department arrived on scene. Their heroic acts helped save the lives of two individuals. Both Rodriguez and Adams credit their experience with the Explorers program, saying they wouldn’t have known what to do if not for the training they received from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
