Rifles Bought by Fontana School Police Raising Concern
In a controversial move, Fontana school police bought assault rifles without telling the school board. Fourteen Colt LE6940 rifles were delivered to the school district in December 2012, a week before the massacre of children Sandy Hook Elementary school reawakened a dormant discussion on gun control. School board member Leticia Garcia says purchase of the $1,000-a-piece rifles deserved more scrutiny. Beverly White reports from Fontana for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2013.
