No Sponge Left Behind — In Your Body

Thousands of surgical sponges are left in patients every year. A new SmartSponge System is being used in Los Angeles to prevent sponges from being left behind through a scanning system. Dr. Bruce Hensel reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on April 26, 2012.
