The Challenge Hero of the Night: Private First Class Jesse Hernandez

A member of the California Army National Guard, PFC Hernandez was on his way to work with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department when he arrived on the scene of a burning bus on the 60 freeway. He hopped out of his vehicle and forced open an emergency exit door, clearing the way for more than 40 passengers to escape with their lives. He is certainly worthy of the title Hero and also serves in the California National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 160th Infantry Regiment. Originally aired on The Challenge, November 15, 2015.
