Los Angeles Metropolitan Debate League

The Los Angeles Metropolitan Debate League (LAMDL) non-profit organization that promotes access to the life-changing activity of competitive debate for students in Los Angeles area public schools. LAMDL was founded in 2007 and since our inception we have expanded to support debate programs at 36 high schools, serving more than 600 students per year. Our mission is to restore access to competitive policy debate throughout LA's underserved public schools.

The LAMDL relies on volunteers in order to provide the life-changing opportunities debate has to offer. One of the most helpful ways to volunteer for LAMDL is by being a volunteer judge at one or more debate tournaments held throughout the school year.  To volunteer, click here
