NewsConference: LA Riots, 25 Years Later, Changes in Education

Fernando Guerra, Ph.D. is the Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University. He talks with NBC4’s Conan Nolan about how education has changed in the area since the 1992 riots. Are we better off today? Since the riots some $20- million has been invested by LA Unified to build new schools. Not a single new high school had been built from 1950-1992, he says.
