New Father Shot in Back While Walking Home From Work

Three weeks after 18-year-old Malcolm Mency welcomed a son into his life, he was shot in the back while walking home from working a late-night shift at a fast-food restaurant. His mother says in the short time he was a father, Mency was an excellent dad. Gadi Schwartz reports from Duarte for the NBC4 News at 9 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2013.
