Powerball Fever Grows, Even With Slim Odds of Winning

Saturday’s Powerball jackpot has topped $600 million, making it the largest ever in the history of the lottery game. The odds of winning are one in 175 million, which means you have a better chance at getting struck by lightning than winning big. Professor Gary Lorden of Caltech calculates the odds.
