Metrolink Train Crash Renews Safety Questions About “Push” Trains

Metrolink has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on safety upgrades in recent years, specifically for more crash-resistant cars, but questions are being raised again about the potential vulnerability of so-called “push” trains, with the locomotive pushing from the back, and a cab car with passengers in the front.
