With a 40-hour closure of the Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Boyle Heights area to accommodate demolition of the Sixth Street Viaduct, Mayor Eric Garcetti issued a last-minute warning for motorists to avoid the heavily traveled stretch to prevent major congestion in the downtown area.
